Evidence-based solutions, agreed in good faith, with community support.

Why I'm running

My wife, a family physician, and I decided to move to West Vancouver so that we could give our three children their best possible future.

I am deeply grateful to be able to live in this extraordinary place, and wanted to do all I could to support the community.

That's why I have devoted so much time as a volunteer — on the Library Board, the Community Centre, the school district PAC, the Community Engagement Committee, Ambleside parkrun, and more.

As I learned more I joined others advocating for solutions to some of West Van's longstanding challenges.

Call me old-fashioned, but I believe that we can agree on evidence-based solutions.

What I'll work on

Protect our incredible environment

Our natural assets - such as watershed, urban canopy, and shoreline - provide real benefits (reducing landslide/flood risks, providing shade) but only if we protect them.

Prioritize health and wellbeing

When we support public parks, recreation, and other amenities we enhance the quality of life - and health - for residents of all ages.

Invest — within our means

Maintaining and renewing the infrastructure our communities depend on means having honest conversations with taxpayers.

Homes for locals

Ensuring that family and friends are appropriately housed - seniors, young families, and those who serve us - is essential for community cohesion and wellbeing.

Less traffic, more options

Providing safer streets and alternative ways to get around means fewer car journeys for kids, seniors, and commuters, reducing congestion for the rest of us.

Empower residents to shape our future

Effective engagement means consulting widely; listening as well as informing; and providing opportunities to steer decision-making.

I'm not claiming to have all the answers. But by working in good faith, with willing partners, I strongly believe we can achieve better results.
